It was my first time coaching this team, and despite finding ourselves 3–0 down in the opening few minutes, the lads never stopped working. With such a short bench, the result doesn’t reflect the effort put in over the full game.
Credit to Callum for getting us on the scoresheet, and massive respect to Finlay in goal, who faced an incredible 67 shots and battled all the way through.
I’d like to give a big shout-out to Jacob and Oliver who guested for us from Billingham Stars Junior Ice Hockey who slotted in brilliantly, showing great attitude and commitment from the off.
