MSA U14As travelled to the Midlands with a seriously short bench to take on a well-organised and physical Solihull Barons side, in what proved to be a fantastic advert for junior hockey.
Despite missing many of our regulars in the line-up, the Storm went toe-to-toe with the Barons in a contest that was played at a high tempo for the full 45 minutes. Both teams traded chances in a game that could easily have gone either way, with commitment, structure, and resilience on show throughout.
Standout performances came from Emmi in defence, who earned MVP honours with a composed display, and Monty, who stepped out of position to play forward and delivered an outstanding effort for the team.
Also big thanks to our U14Bs players and Olivers from Sheffield for stepping up and more than playing your roles on the day.
