MSA U16s were away at Hull to take on a strong and experienced Kingston Sharks side. With a full bench, Sharks largely dictated the tempo and the game was played on their terms for long periods.
Despite the pressure, Storm Academy stayed competitive thanks to an outstanding goalkeeping display from Harvey, who put on a true goalie clinic. His performance, combined with structured and disciplined defensive play across the team, kept the scoreline tight and the contest alive throughout.
Sometimes being tested defensively is part of the learning process, and the team showed real resilience. We’re looking forward to having a stronger bench in future fixtures to get more on the front foot and attack with greater intensity.
MVP honours went to Harvey for an exceptional performance, including saving a penalty shot, while Jacob was recognised as Hardest Worker for his tireless effort.
Details of the game can be found on the EIHA website.
