The U14Bs brought the first half of their season to a close with a challenging game away at Solihull. It was a tough contest and one that provided some valuable lessons about the demands of competitive hockey. We were slow to get going and didn’t engage until the third period, by which point the game had slipped out of reach.
Solihull were well organised and consistent and highlighted the importance of being mentally ready and prepared from the opening face-off. As a young team, this is an experience we can learn from as we head into the break and prepare to return in January.
MVP honours went to Harley, who battled hard and showed commitment throughout the game.
