MSA were 1-0 down going into the 3rd period away to Leeds, in what was an exciting game of u16 girls hockey. Despite outshooting their opponents 36:9, it took 2 unsaveable shots from MVP Emmi to eventually beat the Leeds keeper. Leeds pulled their goalie in the final minutes of the game in search of an equalising goal, but ultimately it was MSA who took home 2 points. Final score 1-2.
And we can’t not mention Alexis having to play this game in odd skates after one of hers fell apart in the first period! Thanks to Leeds for their assistance in getting her back on the ice so it wasn’t a wasted journey.
